It’s been a little over a month since the “Hollywood Tower Hotel” sign was removed from the show building of The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney California Adventure, and since then there has been a noticeable amount of progress in the transformation of the ride to its new Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT theming.
The art-deco-style domed structure atop the building has also been removed, and over the past few weeks an extensive scaffolding system has been erected around most of the building’s main section, complete with a tan canvas tarp that blocks view of any more changes currently happening to the tower’s design or color scheme.
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror will end its twelve-and-a-half year existence at Disney California Adventure on January 2nd, but guests have several unique opportunities to experience the attraction in new and different ways until then.
